The Healer & The queen

A woman loved by all, Enthralled by gentlemen,
She waved her royal hand, The nation mommy,
Finally she settled on one, A King above the rest,
And begot a fragile child, heir to the throne,

When leaves would fall, The boy's bones would break and bend
Days in bed waiting for death, deeply worried his mommy,
The child found a rescue, A healer with some words,
Although a proper heart, But eyes set on mommy,

Far away from home, On the frontline troops at his side,
The King commanding all, but hardly mommy,
The saintly man would wash her hands, Heals her wounds and tour the bars,
He'd boast out loud, and make a toast to mommy,

Scummed to the sauce, with fire in her chest,
T'was admiration that lead to her folly,
When the bread maker walked in, Shocked at the scene he cried softly
When the word got out, It was far to late for mommy,
This would be the end of mommy

Least expected, The prince grew strong, And tossed the healer over a bridge,
His death would not be quick, only partly,
The cold would do him in, The war would cause a  riot,
The lack of a nations bread, became so deadly,

Now I'm back a defeated king, No one would hardly sing,
And everyone was slain because of mommy.
